Conductor - Prima Choir


JENNIFER BERNTSON is a conductor, performer, and music educator; inspired in her love of choral music by a childhood spent singing with the Saskatoon Children’s Choir, she has performed with ensembles across Canada, including the National Youth Choir.  Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Mount Allison University and a Master of Arts in Music and Culture from Carleton University, where she studied the role of collective music-making in social movements. She is the founding artistic director of Aella Choir, an Ottawa-based women's choir which has earned praise for their innovative programming and dynamic performances. Jennifer enjoys sharing her love of music through her voice and piano studios, working with students of all ages and levels.
