Ottawa Children’s Choir honoured to perform in the ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge
The Choir will join other Canadian performers in France at Vimy 100 ceremony in April
March 24, 2017 – Ottawa, Ontario
In April, the Ottawa Children’s Chamber Choir will travel to France to perform as part of the ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial. The Choir is an ensemble of 24 singers aged 11-15. They will accompany Canadian pop, folk and country singer Isabelle Boulay as she performs “L’hymne à la beauté du monde.”
If you, your friends or family are planning to be in the Glebe on Saturday February 11 we would love to see you at McKeen Metro Glebe on Bank St. from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Chamber Choir choristers will be bagging groceries and raising funds for their trip to Vimy in April where they will be performing as part of the Vimy 100 ceremonies. Get your groceries, say hi to a chorister, support the choir -- sounds like a pretty good morning!
